Shane grew up in the beautiful Pacific Northwest with a deep love for filmmaking, but somehow never realized he could seriously pursue it as a career until his late 20s. He took production courses in college and shot wedding films from 2010-2016. He moved to Northern California in 2016, where he learned the full production process working as a promotions producer at a TV news station until 2018. In 2019, he moved to San Diego with his small family, where he began pursuing a full time career in the film industry, working and growing as a cinematographer.
His passion is in using a camera, lens, and light to tell stories that move the heart. His bread and butter is shooting commercial, documentary, music video, and narrative productions. He primarily collaborates with directors, producers, production companies, agencies, corporations, influencers, businesses, and nonprofits. On every project, Shane strives to connect audiences to a meaningful message through bold and cinematic imagery. In 2024, Shane was the Director of Photography on a narrative music video that won an award at a film festival in San Diego, CA.
